International Competition for Choreographers
23th International Competition for Choreographers Hannover
Just under 170 young choreographers from 45 countries, participated in the 23rd International Competition for Choreographers. From the candidates the jury panel, consisting of Ed Wubbe, Eva-Maria Lerchenberg-Thöny und Jörg Mannes, chose 15 choreographers to participate in the contest.
From the 15 short listed choreographers seven
made it to the final round. The finalists were Sharon Fridman, Simon
Zufit - Israel, Tim Gerhards, Simon Hartmann, Daniel E. Müller
- Germany, Albert Garrell, Anna Altes - Spain, Zen Jefferson - Switzerland,
Sanghye Jung – South Korea, and Allessandro Pereira –
Brazil.
1st place:
Allessandro Pereira, Brazil, "Crossing Silence"

2nd place:
Sanghye Jung, Korea, "Black suit"

3rd place:
Zufit Simon, Israel, "Meine Mischpuche"

Sharon Fridman, Israel, "Carlos & Me"

Critics' Award and Audience Award:
Zen Jefferson, Schweiz, "Little Red rides through the hood"

Scapino Production Award:
Allessandro Pereira, Brasielien, "Crossing Silence"
